It is finished! Or is it? Today is Saturday of Holy Week. Jesus was taken down from the cross and his body was laid in the tomb.
“Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away....Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs...Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.”
John 19:38, 40, 42 NIV
Today is the day when all those who loved Jesus were grieving and wondering why this happened! They did not understand!
Soon they would see and know the true plan of God! For now though their hearts were breaking!
In our own lives there are times we can’t see or understand how and why things happen. In the midst of our sorrow and broken hearts we don’t see the bigger plan!
God does! God knows! Trust Him! Easter is coming!! Hallelujah!! Amen!!
